A wonderful new workshop that takes in the best photography locations of the Normandy and Brittany coastline. This 10 day workshop will take you to the dramatic cliffs of Etretat, the pretty fishing port of Honfleur, the majestic Mont Saint Michel, the pink rocks and lighthouse of the Granit Rose coast, the photogenic lighthouses of Petit Minou, Kermovan, and Saint Mathieu,  and the picture perfect stilt fishing huts of the Loire Atlantique.

We start our journey on the rugged coast of Normandy where we will spend 2 days photographing the cliff arches of Etretat which look stunning at sunrise and sunset. A short drive south is the pretty fishing port of Honfleur. Colourful half-timbered houses line the water front and look fantastic reflected in the calm water.

The next 2 nights we'll spend at Mont Saint Michel. Here the tide can swell as much as 16m from low tide tide to high tide and can move as fast a galloping horse! We'll photograph the medieval walled village from a safe distance at dawn and dusk, making use of the unusual snake-like pools that act as lead-in lines for the monastery and surrounding village. Sheep are also dotted around the surrounding fields adding to the already picture-perfect scene.

It's time to leave Normandy and head to the glorious north coast of Brittany, a part of the world that quietly steals your heart with its pink granite rocks surrounded by soft, powdery white sand and crystal clear, turquoise water.

Our first hotel is perfectly placed to explore Ploumanac'h lighthouse, which is fun to photograph in all weathers, especially when the waves crash against the round boulders.

Nearby is the unusual ‘Maison du Gouffre’ which was built between 2 giant boulders. If the conditions are right, you can capture perfect reflections of the house and boulders.

Brittany boasts the greatest concentration of lighthouses in the world, and our next stop le Conquet, in the extreme West of France, is located next to 3 of the most stunning lighthouses you'll ever see. If the sea is rough, which may well be the case in October, the photography can be exhilarating. They are all very accessible and offer endless compostions.

Our final destination takes us through the South of Brittany to the Loire Atlantique where you'll photograph the enchanting stilt fishing huts known as carrelets that sit out at sea. They are great subjects for long exposure photography and at sunset are truly stunning.

After a final sunrise shoot, we'll drive to Nantes train station where you can take a train to Paris.
