Photograph the stilt fishing huts on the Gironde estuary, the Chateaux of the Médoc & oyster beds and villages around the Bay of Arcachon

During this photography tour, we will photograph the most photogenic areas on the Atlantic Coast - The Gironde Estuary, the Médoc and the Bay of Arcachon.

North of Bordeaux, on the East side of the Gironde estuary, lie over 230 traditional Stilt fishing huts. These picturesque wooden structures stretch out into the sea and are accessed from the shore by a walkway. Over 2 days of the tour, we will shoot in different locations from sunrise to sunset. Protected from the the full force of the Atlantic by the West shore of the Gironde, the fishing huts offer us a perfect opportunity to practise the technique of long exposure.

After crossing the estuary, we'll explore the chateaux and vineyards of the Médoc and make time to sample some of the region's famous wine.

Our final destination is the Bay of Arcachon, home to the Dune de Pilat (Europe's largest sand dune). Within the bay, we'll photograph oyster beds, colourful villages, fishing boats and the Cap Ferret.

All this to look forward to during this photography tour in France.
