Discover the stunning landscape and architecture of the Central Anatolian plateau

Based in our beautiful cave hotel for another 3 nights, we’ll explore 3 different areas of Cappadocia; the Ihlara Valley, Sultan Marshes National Park and Goreme. There’s a huge variety of landscape to discover. In fact, this region inspired me to follow a path in photography, after I spent 3 months travelling around the country. The high Anatolian plateau is an extraordinary place unlike anywhere that I had seen before.

The Ihlara valley is home to hundreds of old churches carved into the volcanic rock. Goreme, UNESCO protected, is a maze of volcanic rock-hewn churches and homes as well as the famous fairy chimneys. In sharp contrast, the marshlands are a sanctuary to over 300 bird species and are surrounded by high mountains.
